At gaming and geek conventions such as Anime Expo, SDCC, and PAX you're surrounded by tons of cool and interesting people who share your passions. But how do you go about meeting them? How do you make new friends?
Shout Around is THE app that helps brings the convention community together and build genuine friendships. Shout Around provides a simple way to connect nearby friends and followers with geolocation. You can send private messages, create public “Shouts” to tell everyone who’s following you what’s going on, Check-in at events to unlock badges, add photos and customize your profile with Skins, and add new friends using QR code without giving out your personal info.

BROADCAST AND RECEIVE SHOUTS WITH PEOPLE IN YOUR AREA
Shout allows you to send a message and a notification to people nearby who follow you in this app. It’s useful for arranging meetups, or letting others know what you are up to. You can also send a Shout to your nearby friends to set up dinner plans, or organize a boardgame night at any time.

NEVER MISS OUT ON BEING A WINNER
Entering giveaways at events has never been easier, all you have to do is scan the QR code at the booth and YOU'RE IN! The app will even provide you with information on booth number and giveaways drawing time. No more needing to look for a pen and write in your information on a small piece of paper with even smaller space that never fits your email address (so you have to start writing on the next line and then cross out ".com" because it looks like some weird spoonful of alphabet soup when you run out of space), or trying your best not to lose a small piece of red ticket that always fall out of wallets or pockets.

How much is Shout Around?
The Shout Around app is completely free and it's available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Will I able to use this app outside of convention events?
Of course! You can use this app at any time. Whether it is to discover new friends in your area or creating a Shout to set up boardgame night, you can do it all in this app whenever & wherever.
Can I switch my role at anytime?
Yes! You can switch your role between a convention attendee, a creator, or a photographer at any time.
Will people find out my location?
Nope, your profile will only appear if you are nearby and have "Discoverable" turned on, but Shout Around will not display your exact location.
Who would able to send me messages?
You're in total control of who can message you! Only connected friends and people you follow will able to message you, and you can disconnect or mute them at any time.
